Twisel Lodge is a small purpose-built residential home for adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs. It was opened 1994 and is situated in Holywood Co. Down.

For many of our residents Twisel Lodge for a long time is their home however as part of the eight-person service, we also provide a ‘respite’ facility through which adults with learning disabilities can come and stay with us for a break. This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role.

The home is single story and provides individual bedrooms. At Twisel Lodge, everyone is cared for and supported by our excellent team of staff who work  closely with a range of specialist professionals such general practitioners, community nurses, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy as required.

The staff team provides person centered care to enable residents to engage in activities that support them to live happy and fulfilling lives within their local community.
